Winter Reflections in British Columbia Parks

Golden Ears Provincial Park and Buntzen Lake are two places you’ve probably never heard of.  Even if you live in Vancouver BC, they’re less than an hour away, but there’s a good chance you’ve never been.

That’s a shame because they’re terrific destinations for a leg stretcher close to the city.  Even during the winter, they are low enough to remain snow-free most of the time.  When the wind is calm, photographers are treated to amazing reflection scenery – especially in the clear waters of Buntzen Lake (which is used for Vancouver’s water needs).

At Golden Ears, you get the sense that you’re somewhere deep in Alaska.  Well, maybe not in the summer when the thousands of parking spaces fill up.  But in the winter, you’re likely to have scenes like this all to yourself.
